Harcourts has appointed professional speaker and author Warren Tate as the brand’s official performance coach in Victoria.
Harcourts’ Victorian team members have said they’re ready to take on a new “superpower”, as they learn the fundamentals of Mr Tate’s communication-based practice.
Mr Tate, who published the best-selling self-help book I Get You in 2017, comes from a real estate background, though his speaking career has taken him to offices across the business world, working with employees from companies like Ernst & Young and IBM who were eager to learn his approach to winning customers over.
In his view, it all comes down to the simple yet difficult skill of communication.
“Communication is the number one skill set on the planet, and is the superpower everyone should master,” Mr Tate said.
“Communication can and will change your destination.”
And though he’s not giving away the secret sauce for free, Mr Tate explained that in his work with Harcourts, he’ll be particularly focusing on honing softer skills like tone and non-verbal cues that have the ability to win trust.
“My training includes tangible takeaways to help the Harcourts Victoria team master communication for influence,” Mr Tate said.
“We’ll be working on not just the content, what you say, but the methodology, how you say it,” he explained.
“The power of the voice is often underestimated. It’s an instrument that has the ability to inspire passion, move people, and encourage them to take action — a true superpower!”
On the part of Harcourts and its Victorian team, it seems everyone is excited to strengthen their skills of connection.
“This is an exciting and important development for the Harcourts Victoria team,” commented Tony Morrison, chief executive officer of Harcourts Victoria.
“Warren’s extensive skill set, his energy, humorous delivery, coupled with strategies to implement immediately is already taking performance coaching to another level,” he added.
