In pursuit of diversifying its service offering, coaching and consulting business Regrowth has added an accomplished auction professional to its roster.
Darren Cole joins the business with experience across auctioneering, business strategy, coaching, and training, in line with the firm’s vision to bolster their current service offering for clients by expanding into auction coaching.
Considered to be a “lifelong” industry veteran, Mr Cole’s exposure to the real estate scene goes back from an early age when he accompanied his father to actions and door-knocking.
Among the expert’s laurels is being named Auctioneer of the Year (NT), competing in the Australasian Auctioneering Championship, and being named a finalist in the REB Marketing Campaign of the Year award for his work in his independent practice.
Notably, Mr Cole has also achieved a top 5 per cent ranking within the LJ Hooker Group during his early 20s and has been involved in thousands of auction campaigns throughout the course of his career.
His diverse background also includes holding numerous chief executive roles within the industry and Adult Education, in addition to leading a joint venture to create Australia’s largest regional and rural real estate business at the time.
In addition to his strong track record in the industry, Mr Cole holds a Global Executive MBA from Sydney University, where he studied at renowned institutions such as the London School of Economics, Stanford University, and the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.
Founder and director of Regrowth Kylie Walsh welcomed the latest addition to the business’ ranks.
“Regrowth is delighted to have Darren join our team. His extensive experience as an industry practitioner makes him perfectly positioned to provide an additional specialisation to serve our clients,” she stated.
The executive also voiced the business’ confidence in Mr Cole’s skill sets, notably his “ability to inspire and engage industry professionals, particularly in a classroom environment”, highlighting “there is no other like him in Australia”.
With a passion for “leading people through change while navigating industry complexities and driving strategy” and having earned his stripes as an auction practitioner, the business highlighted Mr Cole adds “expertise in mergers and acquisitions, productivity, and profit growth to his business acumen and is dedicated to the industry and personal development”.
“Darren’s passion and adeptness to see lateral solutions will support our clients in achieving success,” Ms Walsh said.
Mr Cole is equally enthusiastic stepping into the role, which the expert says will help him pursue his goal of “seeing people develop and challenge the status quo”.
“Regrowth again delivers on their commitment to provide coaches and consultants that can deliver practical experience in practice and prove they can scale and drive high-performance teams,” he said.
The appointment of Mr Cole follows the announcement of Georgia Di Noia joining the team earlier this month, focusing on marketing and customer success. In March, the business also onboarded Sue Choong as director, who transitioned from the sales sector to concentrate on coaching.
