Since putting down its roots in Noosa in 2018, this agency has now raised over $1 million to help communities across the country.
On 17 June, Reed & Co. Estate Agents staged its fourth annual charity gala at the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort in support of charity organisations, namely the Loyal Foundation and the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
One of the highlights of the event was a “live auction”, which featured an array of experiences and products donated by Noosa’s small business community, which raised a total $41,850 in donations.
Additionally, attending guests contributed to the cause by purchasing specific equipment from the Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s Wish List.
The list includes equipment and items that the foundation requires for their charitable efforts. These items are typically related to medical facilities, such as hospitals or clinics, and are crucial for improving the quality of care provided to children in need.
Declared as “a resounding success”, the agency reported the event raised over $275,000.
Additionally, the event helped acquire 22 pieces of vital paediatric medical equipment for 11 hospitals in regional Queensland, New South Wales, the Northern Territory, and the NSW ambulance service.
Loyal foundation founder, Anthony Bell OAM, commended the Humpty Dumpty Foundation’s commitment to ensuring that “100 cents to the dollar” raised during the event goes directly towards providing urgently needed medical equipment to hospitals or health services.
Paul Francis OAM, founder and executive chairman of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, expressed gratitude to the generous donors who make a tangible difference in hospitals and healthcare services throughout Australia.
He also highlighted the urgency of providing necessary equipment to hospitals, emphasising the challenges faced by medical professionals when critical resources are lacking.
Founder and director of Reed & Co. Estate Agents Adrian Reed said the agency, which was established in the Sunshine State five years ago, together with the Noosa community, have now raised $1,006,964 and donated 83 pieces of life-saving paediatric medical equipment to regional hospitals on the Sunshine Coast and other states/territories.
Lauding the community’s support, Mr Reed emphasised the agency’s commitment and continuous effort to improve outcomes for children who are ill.
“It’s tough, but children don’t stop getting sick, they don’t stop going to the hospital, and tragically, they don’t stop dying.
“This is our chance to step up, have an impact, and change the outcome for some young lives. It’s our legacy, and our legacy is our generosity,” he stated.
