Real estate agents and property developers can now format their web site so would-be buyers and sellers can gain access from their phones.

Brightfox recently launched a software program, R.E Mobile, which transforms an agent’s existing website content into an easy to read format for any multimedia device.

According to the company’s managing director Cameron Black, the product, which was officially launched in Australia this week, is already experiencing a high level of demand from agents.

“The mobile application enables a real estate agent to establish contact with consumers and provide them with essential property information such as property listings or open house times,” Mr Black told Real Estate Business.

According to Mr Black, more than 80 per cent of all property buyers research property online.

“The software application allows buyer’s to research property information whilst on location via their phone. It can provide them with all the information they need instantly, in an easy to read format to make a calculated decision,” he said.

In 2008, more than 140 million multimedia mobile phones were sold worldwide.
