A personal recommendation tipped the scales for the principal of a Campbelltown agency looking to align with a real estate network.
Raveena Assi, who heads the new Laing+Simmons Campbelltown office, said there were a number of factors that drew her to join the network.
Having previously operated as an independent agency, she was looking for a larger level of support in this next phase, yet sought a brand that was still able to offer individualised support.
“Coming from an independent brand, the boutique nature of the Laing+Simmons brand resonated with me,” Ms Assi explained.
The fact that the brand’s head office was made up of a “diverse corporate team, with strong women in leadership positions”, Ms Assi described it as another major consideration.
“It was instantly apparent that our team would be supported from day one by a capable and driven head office team invested in our success.”
With the brand ticking a lot of boxes, she then turned to advice from a friend to get some firsthand insight.
“Having known Ash Sapra of Laing+Simmons Seven Hills for many years, I called her to discuss her experience with the network. I value her opinion highly and she helped confirm the decision,” Ms Assi said.
With office doors now open, the principal described her excitement at growing her offering for Campbelltown’s community, which she said is increasingly receiving more buyer interest, particularly from young families looking for value and first home buyers focused on affordability.
“Campbelltown is one of the most important centres serving the south-west Sydney region, which continues to grow on the back of an increasing population and new projects creating tens of thousands of new jobs, like Western Sydney Airport,” Ms Assi noted.
Laing+Simmons’ head of growth and development, Harriet Saunders, saw Ms Assi and her team as an ideal fit with the firm’s culture.
“We love to work with people who are passionate about what they do, who are motivated to be a part of their local community for the long term, and who prioritise the experience of their customers. Raveena and her team exemplify the people-first approach we wear as a badge of honour,” Ms Saunders said.
“Campbelltown is a key strategic addition to our network and it’s a privilege to be represented in this key growth area by such a professional, capable and passionate team,” she added.
