The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) has said goodbye to two of its leaders, at the same time welcoming two new faces to the fold.
Two new directors have been added to the board following the closure of the Metropolitan Zone elections last week.
Auctioneer Adrian Butera and buyer’s agent Mark Errichiello have been elected into the roles, and are set to take office from 1 October 2023.
Mr Butera and Mr Errichiello have been welcomed onto the board by REIV CEO Quentin Kilian, who said: “In Adrian and Mark, we have two highly regarded and experienced property sector specialists joining the institute’s board, and they will no doubt make an impact at a leadership level.”
They join the board alongside re-elected senior property manager Sam Hatzistamatis and agent Jacob Caine, who will remain in their roles for a further three years.
At the same time, REIV is farewelling current president Andrew Meehan on his retirement from the industry, and following on from the sale of his business.
It is also saying goodbye to past president Leah Calnan, who has completed the permitted nine years as director and has now been recognised as an associate at the Real Estate Institute of Australia.
Mr Kilian applauded the work done by the departing directors, and noted: “Leah and Andrew have made an important contribution to the real estate sector over the past decade and, on behalf of the REIV and its membership, I thank them for their service.”
