Two industry veterans have linked up with the network within Australia’s southernmost state.
Katrina Garwood and Ian McCallum have been revealed as joining the group, having been heralded by The Agency’s general manager of sales - Tasmania, Sally O’Connell, as a “dynamic team who are well-known in the Launceston market”.
Described at the time as a “significant move”, The Agency’s foray into the Tasmanian market kicked off last July with the decision to enter the state then billed as a “strategic move to establish a presence in the flourishing market”.
Speaking on the network’s latest Tasmanian appointments, Ms O’Connell added the pair’s “vision of where they want to take their career and how they want to live their lives is clear and heavily aligns with The Agency’s core values and brand”.
Expressing extreme excitement at the beginning of her latest professional chapter, Ms Garwood explained “the heart of real estate lies in helping clients achieve their dreams.” With this in mind, she detailed how both of them are “very impressed” by The Agency’s offerings and support.
Speaking on the Tasmanian market, Ms Garwood noted how, much like the rest of the nation, Tasmanian real estate has experienced a significant change in recent months, with one report from the Real Estate Institute of Tasmania (REIT) describing the state’s market as having pre-pandemic conditions.
“We know that the Tasmanian real estate market is evolving and the attention from mainland buyers continues to increase, which is why being part of a national network provides such great opportunities for our vendors and us as a team,” she declared.
With Ms Garwood and Mr McCallum boasting over 40 years of real estate experience between them, she shared the pair are “dedicated to helping individuals achieve their real estate goals,” which include “ensuring a seamless and comprehensive experience from the initial listing to the exciting moment of handing over the keys”.
The pair’s arrival into The Agency’s Tasmania team follows a trio of appointments back in February.
More recently, the network moved to bolster its operations in the premium NSW regional market of Byron Bay, welcoming an experienced local into the network’s team in the pristine coastal market.
