Australia’s southernmost state is opening its doors to the national real estate agency.
Belle Property’s expansion continues with its first-ever Tasmanian outpost following the opening of the network’s office in Launceston, set to be led by industry veteran principal, Jane Crawford.
Ms Crawford, who has been in the industry for 17 years, expressed excitement at her latest career venture.
“I am delighted to be bringing the Belle Property brand to Tasmania,” she exclaimed, before adding her belief her professional attributes, including her ability to develop and nurture trusting relationships with clients, align with the wider values of Belle Property.
Launceston, Tasmania’s second-largest city with a population over 70,000 according to the most recent census data, has been described by the principal as “the right fit for the brand’s first foray into this important market”.
Forming a core part of her deliberation about the city’s suitability to host a Belle outpost is the city’s “diverse range of character homes and prestige properties”.
With a handful of real estate agencies currently operating within Launceston, Ms Crawford is relishing the opportunity to “build a strong customer base and team in Tasmania” in addition to firmly planting her “stamp on the market”.
“With a prestige brand like Belle Property behind me, I know that we can achieve great things,” she added.
In her eyes, her ability to develop a strong foothold in the Launceston market is boosted by her ability to access Belle’s national buyer database. This, she posited, is a “valuable point of difference in the Tasmanian market, particularly given the strong buyer interest we see from the mainland”.
Belle Property chief executive officer, Peter Hanscomb, celebrated Ms Crawford as a “standout agent renowned for her professional approach, strong attention to detail and ability to deliver winning sales campaigns”.
“As well as being able to quickly put clients at ease and advise on marketing and styling, she also brings high-level negotiation skills to the table,” he said.
Like Ms Crawford, Mr Hanscomb believes Launceston is “the perfect launch pad for our brand in Tasmania”. The reasoning behind his statement is the fact the city “has seen substantial price growth in recent years”, while also being able to capture a national buyer pool.
He concluded: “We are thrilled to be opening our first Tasmanian office in Launceston with Jane at the helm, and are confident this will be the first of many office openings for our brand across the state.”
