An experienced corporate executive, with history across several Australian business denominations, has joined the network.
Liza Balian joins First National as its business growth manager for Victoria.
In the eyes of the network’s head of growth for Australia and New Zealand, Matthew Harvey, she brings a “wealth of experience and a passion for fostering growth and innovation in the real estate industry”.
He said the network’s newest member, who is tasked with accelerating the network’s growth in Victoria, will be a “valuable addition to our team”.
With spells throughout her career employed in the legal departments of Melbourne’s banking and finance sector, Ms Balian brings a unique understanding of the complexities of the regulatory system governing financial institutions into the network.
She proclaimed she is “thrilled to join First National at this point in the network’s history”.
Having spent much of the COVID-19 pandemic navigating a tense business environment and facilitating agencies open their doors remotely, Ms Balian has a demonstrated understanding of what’s needed in difficult periods, including the whirlwind Australia’s economy – and the broader society – finds itself in at the moment.
She believes the nation’s current economic environment, largely defined by the Reserve Bank of Australia’s rate hiking cycle enacted over the 12 months to June and the rising inflationary pressures of that period, “presents strategic opportunities for growth”.
In her eyes, First National’s “unique cooperative structure fosters a collaborative environment that breeds business success”.
Ms Balian shared that she’s “eager to leverage my experience to drive its expansion throughout Victoria”.
Mr Harvey concluded by stating that Ms Balian’s “enthusiasm for joining our network is matched only by our excitement in having her on board”.
