Raine & Horne has set its sights on Casino, in the brand’s third North Coast opening this month.
Only a week after it announced its two new offices in the Maclean area, Raine & Horne Rural revealed it has taken over an independent agency in Casino.
Meridian Property Group will surrender its Casino outpost to Raine & Horne Rural, as the national network continues its rapid expansion into northern NSW.
Kate Morgan and Gary Mortimer will stay on board as the principals of Raine & Horne Rural Casino, with teammates Michael Downes, Gail Copper and Mathew Morgan continuing to offer their support.
The new agency will operate as Raine & Horne Rural Casino for agricultural properties, and Raine & Horne Casino for residential sales.
According to Ms Morgan, the team had found it “challenging to compete independently against offices with other brands”.
“We can’t wait to get going and join the rush,” she stated.
Located a convenient 2.5 hours south of Brisbane, Casino offers a more diverse property range than its cattle-forward reputation would suggest. According to Ms Morgan, while local farmers continue to dominate sales of large rural properties, smaller lifestyle parcels under 200 acres are being snapped up by farming newbies seeking a lifestyle change.
Commuters from Brisbane seeking a tree change are also enticed by Casino’s affordable residential prices, the agent noted.
“There’s no denying that being part of Raine & Horne positions us to compete for more significant property listings,” the Casino principal stated.
“We’re predominately a rural-based business, and we’re very interested in the direction Raine & Horne Rural is going with its aggressive push to expand.”
Raine & Horne’s NSW network manager, Travis Wentriro, expressed excitement for the Casino acquisition as the new principals “embark on their new chapter of growth”.
“The future certainly looks promising for the rapidly expanding Raine & Horne Rural,” he concluded.
