Long-serving CEO Nick Dowling is set to transition into an executive chairman role for the Jellis Craig group early next year.

Mr Dowling, who has served as Jellis Craig CEO and board member for 12 years, will move into his new role in March 2024, with existing Jellis Craig executive and board member Andrew McCann to be appointed to CEO.

According to a statement from the Victorian network, the CEO appointment and executive chair transition “are the culmination of the board’s comprehensive succession planning process to ensure leadership continuity and to position Jellis Craig for continued success”.

Speaking of his successor, Mr Dowling said: “Andrew is the ideal person to lead Jellis Craig into its next chapter.”

Stating that he has been a key figure in what the network has designed and executed over the last 10 years, the outgoing CEO added: “He will bring both experience and insight having served on the board for many years, while also bringing fresh ideas and energy to the role.

“Andrew has 25 years’ experience in the real estate industry, most recently as the managing director of our inner city Stonnington and Richmond hub. He comes to the role with immense internal and industry credibility.”

Incoming CEO Mr McCann shared how his predecessor “has been instrumental in the growth and evolution of Jellis Craig to become one of Australia’s best real estate businesses”.

“The brand is in a very solid position, and we are fortunate to have Nick remaining in the business. I look forward to continuing to work with him and the broader leadership group as we progress into 2024 and beyond,” the new chief executive remarked.
