The executive joins the network after a decade with Barfoot & Thompson.

Campbell Dunoon has been revealed as LJ Hooker’s new head of network – New Zealand, and will be responsible for both LJ Hooker and Harveys network of offices.

LJ Hooker Group has lauded Mr Dunoon’s strong track record in business development and delivering best practice, honed across time spent with Barfoot & Thompson, and previously Harcourts and Bayleys.

LJ Hooker Group CEO Christine Mikhael weighed in on Mr Dunoon’s alignment, stating: “Campbell knows what it takes to create a business that attracts high performers and services a large volume of clients, which resonates strongly with our network.”

She also highlighted Mr Dunoon’s reputation for strong customer focus, as well as his “broad and deep understanding of the industry, business development and operations to maximise productivity, profitability and success”.

In his previous role, Mr Dunoon was reported as leading an extensive team of specialists and managed up to 9,000 auction and tender transactions each year.

In his new role, Ms Mikhael outlined that he will be providing ongoing strategic and business planning support to business owners “so they can achieve their growth ambitions and accelerate their success”.

“He’ll also be responsible for the growth of our networks across the country by identifying offices that would thrive with our franchise offer and new markets for LJ Hooker and Harveys to enter.”

For Mr Dunoon himself, the role “presents a remarkable opportunity” to apply his experience in strategic real estate growth and distribution, and he is excited about his new business’s vision and ambition.

Stating that he is looking forward to supporting business owners and their teams, the incoming head of network said: “It’s a chance to shape the future of LJ Hooker and Harveys, two strong brands with immense potential.”

Looking ahead, Mr Dunoon believes “there is significant growth potential in Auckland, with sales volumes expected to increase by up to 20 per cent next year, and new, untapped regional areas to service tourist and holiday destinations”.

“I look forward to contributing to our success in these exciting markets,” he shared.

Mr Dunoon’s appointment comes after the internal promotion of Allaine Burkett to head of operations across New Zealand.

She’s been a part of the corporate team for the past five years.

For Ms Mikhael, the leadership changes are set to further strengthen the brand across the ditch.

“Campbell, Allaine and everyone in the local team works closely with their Australian counterparts, creating a strong alliance, shared ambitions, and, ultimately, delivering greater value for all,” she remarked.

“Our offices are in growth mode, and market conditions have continued to improve in New Zealand. I’m looking forward to our future and what that will bring.”
