The network has revealed the opening of a new office in Australia’s second largest inland city.

The McGrath Toowoomba outpost will be helmed by local professional Heston Marino, who will be joined by a team of five across sales and property management.

The new office will service the area from Highfields to the north, Middle Range in the south, to Redwood and Glenvale in the east and west. Key suburbs the office will service include East Toowoomba, Mount Lofty, Rangeville and Middle Ridge.

Mr Marino, a resident of Toowoomba for more than 10 years, said the city has a diverse housing market and offers a variety of options, from traditional Queenslanders to modern homes and apartments.

“I feel that I know this city well and love its character homes, distinctive properties and how it is coming of age, but at the same time respecting its heritage.

“With more than 50 primary and secondary schools, and bustling campuses for TAFE Qld and University of Southern Queensland, it has a changing demographic, attracting families to the area for its lifestyle, cultural events and liveability, he shared.

Weighing in on the announcement, Christopher Mourd, head of franchise and network services, stated they “have partnered with highly energetic operators with new representation in an important market where we see great value and opportunity as the gateway to rural Queensland”.

“The investment in infrastructure in the Toowoomba region is highly impressive, as is the focus on the enhancement of retail and lifestyle precincts, all of which are extremely attractive to its growing population and cross-border migration.”

The new expansion comes less than two weeks after McGrath unveiled a brand refresh to convey the firm’s commitment to “integrity, transparency and being more human”.

According to chief executive officer John McGrath, the look intends to coincide with “the beginning of a new era for McGrath”.

“We stand firmly for integrity, transparency and being more human, so we wanted these reflected in our brand. In an industry that tends to lack all of these traits, we are proud of our heritage, but even more excited about our future,” the CEO said.
