Buxton Real Estate Group has revealed it will be making a move into the thriving Bendigo property market.
The expansion is being headed by a group of experienced directors including Peter Ladd, Hugh Norris and Matt Leonard.
Buxton reported that Ladd is a certified public accountant bringing enterprise resource planning and property development knowledge, while Norris hails from a franchising and retail background as the co-creator of REMSUITE CRM, and Leonard brings over 20 years of specialised experience in both residential and commercial real estate to the team.
Leonard also brings with him his deep personal roots to Bendigo that will continue to aid the team in serving and catering to the local property market. The team stated that this knowledge was a key influence in the decision to open a Bendigo office at a time of great growth for the local area.
Buxton Real Estate’s move into Bendigo has also coincided with the city being hailed as the best regional town in Australia, which Leonard attributes to the area’s status as a “vibrant and forward-thinking regional city” replete with various schools, healthcare facilities, sporting amenities and diverse cultural offerings.
Critically, many professionals and families have begun migrating to the area in droves as a result of the stabilised housing prices which have remained steadfast in comparison to other regions across the country.
For Buxton, the Bendigo move follows a 20 per cent increase in property transactions undertaken by the group over the last quarter of 2023.
As it stands, Buxton now has a team of more than 500 professionals with 16,000 properties under management.
For Leonard, this recent success has rendered the brand as the perfect candidate to fill a gap within the Bendigo real estate sector.
He added that the new office seeks to oversee the transformation of the Bendigo real estate industry and meet the evolving needs of local clients past, present and future.
Weighing in on the announcement, Marcus Williams, Buxton Real Estate CEO, said the latest addition to the group will provide momentum for the brand to expand further throughout Victoria, hinting that they are actively working on initiatives to open more offices.
