LJ Hooker has added an office in the Gold Coast’s M1 growth corridor with longstanding agent David Brown heading the Oxenford location.
LJ Hooker reported that Brown, who boasts more than a decade of experience with the brand, has stepped up to become principal of the new agency.
In addition to his decade of experience within the LJ Hooker network, Brown also brings with him a deep connection to the northern end of the Gold Coast, the new expansion dubbed by Brown as a ‘natural progression’ of his career thus far entirely selling property in the location.
The opening of the new Oxenford agency at 15B/5 Michigan Dr, Oxenford coincided with a time of great infrastructural development for the suburb.
Brown cited the recent development of schools, parks, and shopping centres alongside Oxenford’s close proximity to the Southport and Yalata employment hubs as grabbing the attention of families and professionals alike.
“The area offers a lot of diversity: there’s semirural properties through to large quality homes which are fetching $1.5 million and above, buyers are finding better bang for their buck in the area,” said Brown.
Owing largely to the fact that over the last two decades, Oxenford and neighbouring Maudsland’s population have tripled in size to more than 20,000 residents, Oxenford’s housing market has stayed strong among rising interest rates.
Oxenford now records a median price of $807,000, representing 1.8 per cent growth over the past 12 months, which has buoyed the network’s faith in the growth of the Gold Coast’s northern corridor.
Brown is confident LJ Hooker Oxenford will comprise a robust addition to LJ Hooker's network of offices in the central and coastal city market through offering sellers and investors greater exposure for their properties.
