A luxury property expert has found a new home in Highland’s Double Bay office.

Walter Antonelli has teamed up with Bill and David Malouf, joining Highland Double Bay Malouf to bolster their services in the prestige market.

Formerly working under Sotheby’s banner, Antonelli has an extensive background working across luxury sales in Sydney’s eastern suburbs and lower north shore.

It’s an opportune time for the prestige specialist to join Highland, with the brand doubling down on the pointy end of the market following recent returned interest in high-value property.

Highland CEO, David Highland, reported that the network has recently seen a boom in the top-end market, with the firm transacting $300 million in property sales in just six weeks.

“The prestige market is really strong right now. In just one day our agents closed deals in excess of $50 million which included suburb record sales, heritage listed properties and notable price points over the $10 million mark,” he explained.

The CEO said that the hire of Antonelli is “truly exciting for us with this momentum as we know his track record in this space and with his strong connections in the market”.

"We are thrilled to announce Walter Antonelli as the newest member of our sales team,” he continued. "His extensive experience and unwavering dedication to client satisfaction perfectly aligns with our core values. By bringing Antonelli on board, we are confident he will add great value to our Double Bay team, particularly by working alongside our directors of Highland Double Bay Malouf, Bill and David Malouf, within the high-end market,” Highland said.

Antonelli joins a team known for large transactions as Bill Malouf boasts the sale of a roughly $60 million mansion in Vaucluse, while son David Malouf handled the $14 million sale of socialite Roxy Jacenko’s home in the same suburb.

Highland expressed his high confidence in the team’s ability to serve the prestige market with Antonelli’s addition.

“The sky truly is the limit now,” Highland added.
