The Top 50 Agents SA/NT 2024 ranking has shown that agents increased their sales figures in 2023 compared to the previous year.

Now in its fourth year, the annual state-based ranking and associated report recognises the top-performing agents in South Australia and the Northern Territory who have set the benchmark for excellence and raised the bar for performance standards in Australia.

The ranking has identified that no two property markets are alike, and as such, champions agents who not only achieved high sales transactions during the 2023 calendar year but also built a strong local presence and tailored their service to suit the preferences of vendors and buyers in their area.

The ranking and report have been published by Real Estate Business (REB), produced jointly with parent company Momentum Media, and researched and powered by research arm Agile Market Intelligence.

According to this year’s data, the numbers for SA/NT agents improved across several metrics during 2023.

Indeed, the top 50 agents sold a combined total of 4,425 properties last year for $3.7 billion, compared to 4,350 properties for $3.4 billion in 2022. The top 10 agents sold 1,386 properties in 2023 for $1.5 billion, compared to 1,334 properties for $1.4 billion the previous year.

In addition, the top 50 agents sold an average of 89 properties for $74.5 million in 2023, up from 87 properties sold for $67 million the previous year. Meanwhile, the top 10 agents sold 139 properties on average for $151.4 million, up from 133 properties for $139.1 million in 2022.

The average sales price increased from $807,071 to $934,472 year-on-year across the top 50 agents, and from $1.1 million to $1.2 million across the top 10 agents. This reflected the overall growth in property prices across Australia in the recent past due to low housing stock and high buyer demand.

Time on market remained stable, with the top 50 agents taking 23.3 days on average to sell a property (down from 25 the previous year), while the top 10 agents took 21.1 days (up from 20 days in 2022).

REB editor Grace Ormsby congratulated the agents, stating that the results showcase their strengths, capabilities, and resilience in a tumultuous market.

She said: “The agents who made the cut in this year’s ranking deserve to be recognised for their consistent commitment to high performance.

“It’s an absolute honour to be able to shout out all of the agents who are pushing the South Australian and Northern Territory real estate professions to new heights.”
