OBrien Real Estate’s inaugural charity ball saw guests enjoy “a night of elegance and entertainment while contributing to a worthy cause”.

The charity ball held on 2 May at the Crown Aviary was described as “a remarkable gathering of generosity and community spirit”, with the event’s raffle tickets and auctioned off items raising $25,000 for the Monash Children’s Hospital.

Stavros Ambatzidis, head of the OBrien Real Foundation Committee, stated that the organisation was “incredibly grateful for the support we received at our first charity ball”.

“The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the vital work of the Monash Children’s Hospital, helping to provide essential care and services to children in need,” Ambatzidis stated.

OBrien Real Estate’s decision to support Monash Children’s Hospital was reportedly deeply personal for the network, with the hospital said to play a “major part” in the Monash community where OBrien network first began back in 2010.

“The Monash Children’s Hospital plays a crucial role in our community by providing specialised care to children and their families,” Ambatzidis explained.

“The support and generosity shown at our charity ball will help ensure that the hospital can continue its essential work and make a positive impact to countless lives.”

In addition to their charity ball, OBrien Real Estate CEO Mitch Armstrong also supported Monash Children’s Hospital earlier this year through his participation in the Chain Reaction Challenge.

This seven-day event saw Armstrong as part of a greater group of cyclists who all tackled a 1,000 kilometre course through South-East Queensland, the CEO’s successful journey helping to generate the $1.4 million total raised in support of Monash Children’s Hospital and the Starlight Foundation.

In reflecting on the charity ball, the OBrien Real Estate Foundation offered its heartfelt thanks to the attendees, donors, sponsors and volunteers who contributed to the event’s success, the network declaring the “generosity and commitment” of their guests to have set a “strong foundation for future charitable endeavours”.
