McGrath Estate Agents relayed that the location further signifies their network’s “strategic focus on accessing attractive lifestyle precincts”.
The expansion will seek to service the area around Armstrong Creek, inclusive of the greater Charlemont, Freshwater Creek and Mount Duneed areas.
Notably, McGrath announced that the expansion was born of a partnership between the network’s existing Geelong and Newtown-based location and previously independent agency Avenue Five, which through the merger will rebrand their agency to McGrath.
As a result of these circumstances, the new McGrath Armstrong Creek office will be headed by a trio of co-principals composed of former Avenue Five personnel Sam Parsons and Elisha Jackman, alongside Jim Cross from McGrath’s Geelong and Newtown location.
The network stated that the new office comes off the top of the seven-year success of Jim Cross and David Cortous at McGrath’s Geelong and Newtown outpost, its subsequent expansion into the Armstrong Creek corridor prompting them to enter into a partnership with local area experts Avenue Five.
Drawing upon his intimate knowledge of the Armstrong Creek property market, Sam Parsons detailed that the local market “has been very active” as a result of its affordability and the substantial infrastructure-based investments made in accommodating the growing population of families and professionals moving into the area.
“Armstrong Creek (and its) surrounds continue to experience a broad range of buyers, from first home buyers to owner-occupiers that are upsizing their family homes,” Parsons said.
“In the last four weeks we’ve been experiencing an increase in buyer inspection enquiries and attendees which is positively impacting sales numbers and values.”
Commenting on the expansion, Christopher Mourd, head of franchise services for McGrath, shared that “we regard Armstrong Creek as a wonderful and affordable lifestyle market that offers significant growth potential for our business as it also provides a good entry point to the Surf Coast, and beyond to the Great Ocean Road”.
“Here we have a merger between our McGrath Geelong I Newtown business and that of Avenue Five, who will rebrand their agency to McGrath, forming a powerhouse partnership to expand and grow their respective businesses,” Mourd stated.
Co-principal Jim Cross was similarly enthusiastic about the partnership, stating: “We are delighted to welcome the talented team of Avenue Five to join forces with McGrath Geelong I Newtown.”
“We believe this partnership with Sam, Elisha and their entire team is very much aligned with our ethos and work ethic. It’s a very exciting time for our business growth and future expansion plans,” he concluded.
