Agents to access telephone interpreting service

By Staff Reporter

Selected real estate agents across Australia will be granted access to telephone interpreting services to help house new migrants.

According to a report by AAP, the immigration department is piloting an extension of its free telephone interpreting services in areas such as Blacktown in western Sydney, south-east Perth, and the outskirts of southern Melbourne.

The government will consider an expansion of the service to other areas if the pilot proves successful.
