A New Zealand expat who previously worked in a Queensland abattoir is now ready to take charge of his own real estate office.

Levi Thompson is the latest principal to join Coronis Group, following the launch of Coronis Warner in Brisbane’s picturesque Moreton Bay.

Located in the heart of the Pine Rivers area, Warner is a family-friendly suburb of northern Brisbane with plenty of new-build homes on offer.

According to Thompson, it was his early experiences working in his father’s butchery business that sowed the seed of his strong work ethic.

Thompson originally hails from Wellington, New Zealand, having moved to Australia in 2012 to take up a job at Kilcoy Global Foods abattoir, where he “handled 300-plus kg sides of beef daily” and quickly progressed into managerial roles.

Despite his success, however, Thompson “yearned for more”.

A career change into real estate saw the ex-butcher take up a sales role with Manly-based real estate firm Matthew Alexander Real Estate.

Now, Thompson is excited to continue his real estate career with the opening of his new Coronis franchise.

“The holistic support I receive from head office is phenomenal,” Thompson said. “It doesn’t just save me time; it is always a positive interaction and I’m in a better place for it.”

For up-and-coming franchisees, Thompson emphasised the importance of receiving help with training and networking initiatives.

“Having head office take care of the training, staff events and conferences is a massive help. They can seem like small things but they’re really significant and have a huge impact,” he said.

Karuna Mazzocchi, chief executive of Coronis Group, expressed support for Thompson’s new office launch and welcomed him to the network.

“We are very happy to have Levi join Coronis and open a partnership franchise,” said Mazzocchi.

“I am excited to help him grow his own office and create an asset which will change his life for the better.”
