LJ Hooker has welcomed the new principals of its Dural outpost, continuing a more than four-decade presence in Sydney’s Hills District.

The network announced that Neil and Meg Clark will be taking over as the principals of LJ Hooker Dural following the retirement of the agency’s previous owners.

LJ Hooker detailed that the couple are “proud local residents” of the semirural area who have “been living on and selling acreage properties around Dural for 33 years”.

Formerly the lead principals of start-ups including Prudential Property and Mode Property, the Clarks have been described as offering “extensive expertise in residential and commercial sales, as well as acquiring property management divisions”.

Discussing their transition from previously running independent agencies in the Dural area, the Clarks were stated to have “welcomed the opportunity to join the group”.

“LJ Hooker is a very innovative network, and as a business, it has a solid and very traditional foundation that resonates with our local area and that is what we are looking to reflect with our new premises,” said Meg Clark.

Reflecting on their decision to join the franchise, Neil Clark stated that the move occurred “at the right time”, with the principal sharing his belief that “the next five to 10 years will see the biggest growth Sydney’s semirural fringes and Hills area has ever seen”.

“There are a lot of new emerging and then disappearing brands in real estate, but for us LJ Hooker has remained a steady constant in the industry,” he stated.

“People know and trust the brand, which is particularly important within our demographic it has an unbeatable reputation.”

Moving forward, LJ Hooker relayed that the Dural office has been redesigned to allow the Clarks to cover residential sales, property management and commercial sales in a “modern, comfortable and efficient” environment.

LJ Hooker general manager of network, Stephen Mutton, expressed excitement that the network has found “highly skilled new operators to carry on the long legacy of the LJ Hooker in Sydney’s Hills District”.

“It’s wonderful that after 46 years LJ Hooker will continue to have a strong presence in this very prestigious and growing area of Sydney,” Mutton said.

“We received a lot of enquiries from agents keen to take on this opportunity, however, Neil and Meg are standout operators who will bring a lot of experience and energy to our network,” he concluded.

This appointment has occurred in a month of appointments for LJ Hooker, with the network recently recruiting the former owner of LJ Hooker Helensvale and Pacific Pines, Pascal Pierre, and Sydney auctioneer, Luke Whitelum, as the network’s two newest strategic growth specialists.
