Harris Real Estate has expanded its presence in southern Adelaide.
A new partnership has seen Harcourts Wine Coast’s McLaren Vale, Aldinga and Aldinga Beach offices rebrand to Harris Wine Coast.
Director at Harris Wine Coast, Sandy Mount, detailed that the newly rebranded agency had grown from a “small real estate business” into a medium-sized outfit with 30 staff within its ranks.
Mount has maintained the Wine Coast branding throughout the agency’s growth, with this business name enduring as a descriptor of the office’s idyllic seaside location.
“I decided to call it ‘Wine Coast’ because it’s an area 35 minutes out of Adelaide which is developing very quickly, and is in between the beautiful ocean and McLaren Vale,” said Mount.
“We didn’t want to lose the name when we transitioned because I think it describes our area really beautifully.”
Alongside McLaren Vale’s status as an internationally renowned wine region, these natural splendours were stated as significant contributors to the area’s highly competitive housing market.
“A lot of people are moving here, both from Adelaide and from the south, because of the facilities and the beauty of the region, and there’s a lot of people from interstate moving to this space.
“The market is still very strong and competitive, and we’re getting multiple offers on every property well above price expectation.”
Discussing his agency’s motivations in joining Harris Real Estate, Mount said it was motivated by a desire to “go to the next level”.
“I think that it’s a logical thing for us today, because we’ve gone from a small real estate business into a medium-sized business, and I think that it was logical for us to develop even further.”
Mount detailed that the “comprehensive training” offered by the Harris network will enable Harris Wine Coast to increase their staff numbers.
“We’ll be able to bring new staff and new members and the training facilities are there to really get them up and running in pretty short order.
“At no time in the future will any of my people be wondering what’s going on, because their training is fantastic.”
The director also identified Harris Real Estate’s expansive database as presenting a wealth of opportunities to the Wine Coast team.
“We have an internal database which we work pretty strongly with. Their database is significantly bigger than ours, so it extends our opportunities for buyers and sellers dramatically.”
Commenting on the alignment, managing director of Harris Real Estate, Phil Harris, stated that “coming together with Sandy and his team complements our existing business” and “expands the excellence Harris is known for”.
Looking towards the future, Mount expressed that the trio of offices will continue to focus on delivering excellent service to their clientele.
“It’ll be more streamlined with Harris but naturally enough, real estate never changes. It’s about developing relationships with people”, he concluded.
This expansion follows Harris Real Estate Kent Town’s recent fifth placement in REB’s Top 50 Sales Offices 2024 ranking, an achievement that Phil Harris attributed to the introduction of “customised support to each sales agent”.
