Through the sale of their branded clothing, Raine & Horne’s new charity initiative seeks to provide “essential warm clothing to those in need”.
The Clothes for a Cause program, launched by the Raine & Horne Foundation and charitable organisation Dignity, will aim to “make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing the harsh realities of homelessness this winter”.
As part of the program, executive chairman of Raine & Horne, Angus Raine, explained that “for every item of clothing purchased from our collection, we will donate the same non-branded essential clothing to Dignity on behalf of the buyer”.
With the network’s clothing range including socks, hoodies and crew-necks, Raine stated that he was “thrilled that any purchases will enable us to provide these premium, warm garments to those in need”.
“It’s a one-for-one donation that will directly support Dignity’s critical mission of supporting and empowering people at risk of or experiencing homelessness by providing warm clothing for the coldest months,” said Raine.
Dignity’s CEO, Suzanne Hopman, said she was “delighted” by the campaign, stating “Clothes for a Cause is an initiative that will provide warm, new clothes for people experiencing homelessness”.
“It is more challenging than ever, right now, to find a way forward out of homelessness. Therefore, supporting people by providing for basic needs and winter essentials is so important,” Hopman remarked.
With Raine & Horne having first collaborated with Dignity in 2021 on the Take a Walk in Their Socks initiative, Raine expressed that “this partnership once again underlines Raine & Horne Foundation’s commitment to creating lasting social impact”.
“Over the last three years alone, our partnership with Dignity has raised over $200,000 while reinforcing our dedication to supporting causes crucial for the wellbeing of our communities.”
“We believe this latest initiative with Dignity will allow the Raine & Horne Foundation to support Australians doing it tough this winter,” he concluded.
