There is no better way to frame the changing face of the Australian real estate industry than a clear picture of how real estate start-ups are winning ground from established agencies.
Not every new agency is bound for success, but those that crack their local market successfully typically harness the latest technology, marketing tactics and proposition to offer a true point of difference to vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants.
REB can now unveil an exciting new ranking that will shine a spotlight on the emerging independent agencies that are forging the future shape of the real estate industry.
Stellar Agencies will be the definitive new ranking that reveals and recognises the most dynamic new agencies across Australia. Launching soon, it will showcase the businesses that are rapidly growing in their territory while revealing the fresh new approach to taking ground from established players.
REB is proud to invite fast-growing new agencies in sales and property management in the first five years of business to submit to the inaugural REB Stellar Agencies ranking by Friday, 30 August 2024.
Property management payments pioneer Managed is proud to partner REB in this important new initiative, with key metrics to be ranked independently by Agile Market Intelligence (the research arm of REB’s parent company Momentum Media).
The highest ranked agencies will be those that have grown the fastest across sales and property management, demonstrating the establishment of diverse and dramatic growth across multiple revenue streams.
REB managing editor Grace Ormsby said this new ranking was one of incredible value to the industry as a whole.
“New agencies have to offer a better proposition than established players to win listings and to grow their rent roll,” she said.
“That means that fledgling principals are forced to take a fresh look at what can drive success in a cutthroat market. This is the home of real estate innovation.
”REB will be able to reveal the attitudes, habits and philosophies of the most ambitious new pioneers in real estate, as well as the tools and tech they chose to give them an edge.
“It’s been a goal of ours to showcase the fastest growing agencies across the country, and we believe we’re ready to uncover Australia’s strongest growth agencies with this methodology.”
"Making the cut will also deliver a powerful marketing proposition to new agencies. This will reinforce the fact that they are one step ahead in their marketplace,” she said.
Rohith George, COO of property management platform Managed, believes that every agency can learn from the best start-ups.
“You can't sit on your laurels in real estate any more. Even if you’re not looking to grow, you have to defend what you’ve built or new agents with a better proposition will take your business away,” he said.
“The best sales agents and property managers know that they need a point of difference to win business. For the first time everyone can get a glimpse into the mindset and the tactics of the brightest new real estate businesses through the Stellar Agencies ranking.”
All emerging independent agencies are encouraged to submit into the ranking.
The top-performing new agencies will be revealed in the REB Stellar Agencies ranking in late 2024.
