Since partnering with Make-A-Wish Australia in 2014, RE/MAX Australia has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help the charity grant “life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness”.
At the network’s annual RMX24 conference on the Gold Coast, RE/MAX Australia commemorated their 10 years of partnership with Make-A-Wish Australia.
The real estate group has raised $368,000 for the foundation since the beginning of their partnership, through events such as the network’s annual charity auction.
Reflecting on the partnership, RE/MAX Australia’s managing director Joel Davoren spoke on the “fantastic work” that the charity does in granting “life-changing wishes for critically ill children and their families”.
“This year, we’re celebrating a milestone 10 years of partnership with Make-A-Wish Australia, a charity that gives back to the community and supports those in need,” said Davoren.
“Thank you to everyone who has contributed, through various events and fundraisers over the past decade,” he stated.
Group head of people at Make-A-Wish Australia, Belinda Wallin, highlighted the impact of the network’s support over the past decade, sharing that the money raised has brought “more hope, joy and inspiration to families at a time when they need it most”.
Speaking at the conference, Wallin encouraged benefactors to “reflect on the lasting impact that your support has had not only on the children, their families and community, but also on the volunteers that support these wishes”.
“Extraordinary partnerships like this will help us to bring more wishes to life for the 900 kids currently on their Wish Journey,” she concluded.
