A high-performing agent working in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire has been promoted to equity partner.

The promotion of Highland agent Nick Tsaccounis to partner follows an extensive 15-year career with the brand.

Tsaccounis first joined Highland in 2009, and honed his sales skills and leadership acumen in the years that followed.

According to Highland, Tsaccounis is now one of the highest-performing agents in the Cronulla and Greenhills Beach area, selling 40 properties worth $51 million over the past 12 months.

He views the transition to partner as the natural next step in his evolution with the brand.

“Becoming a partner at Highland is a significant milestone in my career, and I am deeply honoured to take on this new role,” said Tsaccounis.

“My journey with the business has been incredibly rewarding, from those early days to now I have been awed by what the team has been able to achieve to this point in our history.

“I am extremely proud to have been involved in the Highland evolution up to this point, leading and team and contributing to the company’s growth, and now I am excited to continue working alongside our extraordinary team in this new role,” he said.

Over the course of his career with Highland, Tsaccounis has experienced a shift in priorities. Whereas in the past his primary focus was on hitting sales targets, now he looks to mentor the next generation of agents.

“My ability to close deals for my clients is the ultimate goal, but it has been infinitely more rewarding to be able to impart my wisdom to help foster up-and-coming careers,” he said.

He also increasingly values the strong relationships he forms within his team, including his partner Lauren who he met at work.

“Lauren has been my rock and ultimate supporter during my career with the company,” he said.

“That I have been able to find success professionally in real estate with Highland but also find my partner and start a family, I couldn’t have asked for a better springboard than the one I have with David and the wider team.”

CEO David Highland praised Tsaccounis for his strong performance, stating that “Nick’s journey with Highland has been nothing short of remarkable”.

“From the very beginning, he has shown unparalleled commitment to his clients and his team. His honesty, upfront approach, and deep understanding of the local market have made him one of our most valued agents,” said the CEO.

“I am thrilled to welcome him to our leadership team and look forward to seeing him continue to thrive in this new role.”
