The new owner of Harcourts’ West Coast branch will bring a homegrown approach to the agency’s operations.

The network has revealed that Rodney Triffett will be taking ownership of Harcourts West Coast, completing the transfer of the agency’s Rosebery and Queenstown offices from former business owner Jenelle Carey.

With Triffett having been born in Queenstown, Harcourts stated the new owner’s lifelong connection to the West Coast of Tasmania would enable the agency to “climb new heights” in servicing the Waratah, Tullah, Rosebery, Zeehan, Queenstown, Gormanston, Strahan, Granville Harbour and Trial Harbour markets.

Prior to beginning his real estate career in 2017, Triffett said that the mining-oriented industry of the West Coast originally led him to believe that he “would end up somewhere mining-related”.

“There were times where I did in fact want to move into mining, but I am glad I stuck it out,” said Triffett.

“What real estate has provided me with is a job that is full of variety, without being stuck in the one area all the time.”

Triffett relayed that the West Coast is an “area that is on the rise, and for the better”, sharing that “it is great to see how much the area has changed over the last few years, with so many people putting in the hard work”.

“From our downhill mountain bike trails to our arts community, there is so much more to bring people to the West Coast now.”

The new owner believes the team at Harcourts West Coast are well-equipped to provide “superior services across all aspects of buying, selling, renting and property management”.

“Our team is made up of locals who know and love the area, and their combined knowledge and on-the-ground experience gives clients the assurance of being well looked after.

“We work regularly with clients from around Tasmania and the mainland, and we understand the needs of clients in a diverse and changing property market.”

Harcourts reported that the new owner of their West Coast outpost is “justifiably proud of the team there”.

“Coming from a range of different backgrounds, day in and day out our team are kicking goals, and making lots of self-improvement with the many things you learn during your time in real estate,” Triffett concluded.

This appointment follows the recent unveiling of Harcourts Australia’s 2024 national expansion forecast, which set the network on a course to “exponentially build upon its recent growth”.
