The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) has elevated 82 of its members to the status of fellow within the organisation.

The state real estate body awards the title to practising members who have been associated with the organisation for 15 years, and who have exhibited a dedication to their profession that distinguishes them as “outstanding professionals”.

The body, which comprises over 48,000 registered real estate practitioners in Queensland, said that it chooses its fellows carefully. The newly named cohort represents all areas of the state, with standout practitioners recognised across Greater Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Fraser Coast, Bundaberg, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns, as well as one interstate member.

REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella thanked the new fellows for their ongoing support of the institute as well as their contributions to their communities.

“This accolade is a testament to those in our profession with longstanding dedication to professional excellence and betterment of the real estate industry.

“Fellows are a valuable part of our dynamic association that’s proudly dedicated itself to advancing the real estate profession across Queensland for more than a century,” she said.

The CEO outlined some of the qualities that the institute looks for in selecting members to receive this elevated status.

“The appointment of new fellows continues this tradition, celebrating those who exemplify the qualities we hold in high regard, including a high standard of professional conduct, an ongoing commitment to professional development, and a drive to give back and contribute to the profession.

“Their contributions have helped to elevate the standards of the industry, and we are confident that they will continue to uphold our values and inspire others through their exemplary service,” she said.
