Harcourts has bolstered its Brisbane footprint with a new location in the city’s western suburbs.

This expansion will be led by director and business owner Praveen Sha who will helm the team at Harcourts Success, alongside operations manager Barry McDonald.

Born into an Indian business family, Sha was an entrepreneur in India for over two decades, and has also been involved in marketing and sales across Europe, the US and the UK.

Harcourts has said Sha brings a diverse set of qualifications, having graduated in human resources and marketing, and obtained a master’s degree in computers from Monash University.

The network cited Sha’s previous experience leading a team of “100-plus staff members and a few thousand workers at his factories”, stating that he will bring an “efficient and effective” approach to the new outpost.

Operations manager McDonald also brings a diverse skill set to the business, having worked in various industries over the past 25 years, ranging from radio sales to volunteering overseas, while Harcourts relayed that “property has been the one that he is most passionate about”.

Through his experience in the buyer’s agency and sales side of real estate, the network stated that McDonald’s “unique insight” will ensure that each sale of a client’s property goes smoothly.

“Working to achieve the goals within a time frame is what motivates me to exceed expectations and deliver an exceptional service,” said McDonald.

With both appointees bringing comprehensive knowledge of their local markets, Harcourts highlighted that Sha “diligently stays abreast of current market trends”, and can “quickly assess whether an investment makes financial sense”.

“Today more than ever, buying or selling property in Queensland can be a very daunting task. I have the experience and fortitude to make the process less stressful and more enjoyable than one might expect,” Sha expressed.

The new principal relayed that the new team is eager to support their local community but highlighted “we don’t want to indulge in services just to market ourselves, we want to build goodwill by genuinely serving the community”.

Looking towards the future, Sha and McDonald also intend to focus on supporting their staff, explaining they “want every individual working for our business to grow, which in turn will grow the business”.

This sentiment was echoed by Harcourts Queensland CEO Greg Allan who shared that “Praveen, and the team have a strong business skill set and genuine care for their community and their people”.

“We are excited to see the growth of this business in the western suburbs market,” he concluded.
