Harcourts Property Hub has purchased Burleigh’s oldest independent real estate company.
Through the expansion, the team at the newly rebranded Harcourts Burleigh, formerly Burleigh Property Sales & Rentals, will be joining Harcourts Property Hub.
Scott Boniwell first established the agency back in 1992 alongside Greg Dillon, with Scott’s son Joel Boniwell later joining as a principal over the course of the office’s 30 years of operation.
Harcourts relayed that the “Boniwells’ understanding of Burleigh’s unique market is second to none”.
Speaking on the agency’s newest addition, director Ray Pieenar expressed his team was “delighted that the original owners will be staying on under the Harcourts Property Hub brand”.
“We are excited to be part of the Burleigh Waters/Burleigh Heads community and will strive to deliver a world-class service, as well as be a business and team who will continue the 30-year legacy of giving back to the people and community,” said Pienaar.
Describing Burleigh as a “highly sought after region”, Pienaar emphasised that the teams at Harcourts Burleigh have all “lived and worked locally” and will continue to use this local and community knowledge when servicing the greater region.
This sentiment was echoed by Harcourts Property Hub director Dave Manby, who shared that “this acquisition solidifies our position as a key player in the beachside market” with a “well-respected team that operates both in the residential and commercial space”.
Joel Boniwell emphasised that the decision to join the team after 32 years of independence was borne out of a “genuine understanding” between the two teams and expressed that his team was “very excited” to move forward as Harcourts Burleigh.
Commenting on the expansion, Harcourts Queensland CEO Greg Allan shared the network was “thrilled that Harcourts Property Hub has gone from strength to strength in the short time they have been with Harcourts”.
