Nick Boyd has been appointed to the executive role and will now lead the Belle Property Australia, Hockingstuart and Acton | Belle Property brands.
Peter Hanscomb, long-term Belle Property Group CEO, will now step into the role of CEO of the Propvue Group, the holding company for the real estate networks.
While Boyd will take control of running the strategies of each entity, Hanscomb will reportedly now focus on acquisitions for the group, as well as its investment trusts, finance, conveyancing, digital brands and data. He will also be involved in coaching.
Boyd steps into the big job with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, having most recently held the position of head of network growth for Belle Property, which he retained for over six years. Boyd also served as national development and performance coach for the brand.
In announcing his appointment, the group noted that Boyd had long been considered a “trusted counsel for the network’s leadership”. His long-term experience with Belle, coupled with his skills in negotiation, were cited as reasons for elevating him into this role.
On his part, Boyd said he was “honoured to be appointed as the CEO of Belle Property, Hockingstuart and Acton | Belle Property”, and paid tribute to Hanscomb’s “extraordinary vision and astute leadership” that had built the network into a national presence.
“From five offices in 2007, today the network encompasses over 180 offices – recording over $18 billion in sales last financial year with 50,000 properties under management. It is incredible what Peter has accomplished,” Boyd said.
Looking forward, he described the network as placed in “an extremely strong position to advance our network to the next level”.
“It will be a privilege to lead our offices – developing and implementing critical strategies and building high-performance teams and culture. I believe this is an extraordinary opportunity to solidify our position and take advantage of openings in the marketplace,” Boyd added.
Hanscomb, meanwhile, expressed his “utmost confidence” that it is the right time to make this career transition.
“[I] believe that Nick is the very best person to lead Belle Property, Hockingstuart and Acton | Belle Property into this next stage,” Hanscomb said.
“By appointing Nick to lead this arm of the business, it will allow for us to achieve greater success across the entire group.”
