Victoria is celebrating Housing Week, a state-wide celebration which follows on from the the sixth annual National Housing Conference held in Melbourne last week.
With the same theme as the National Housing Conference, Housing Week will focus on building connections with the local neighborhood, and invites tenants and residents of public, community-managed and social housing celebrate these connections.
Housing Week also provides an opportunity to build more connections and positive links, through local events, community-builder awards and creative arts projects.
As a part of the events, the winner of the annual Penington Award will be announced. The award will be presented to a nominated public or community-managed housing tenant who has made an outstanding voluntary contribution towards building positive connections in their community.
Housing Week ends Saturday, 5 December 2009.
