Harcourts has been on the hunt for a real estate leader to steer operations in South Australia.

The major real estate brand has named Heather Edwards as CEO for Harcourts South Australia, welcoming the real estate professional back to the network following a career move that took her to another network.

Edwards ran a business with the brand – Harcourts Elite Adelaide – for a number of years up until 2020, when she began her journey in head office, functioning in several senior roles with LJ Hooker. She served the network first as a business solutions manager, then franchise operations lead before being promoted to senior network performance manager of property management.

Expressing her excitement at taking on the South Australian leadership role with Harcourts, Edwards said that the network “has always felt like ‘home’”, and expressed her dedication to expanding the brand’s presence in the state.

“Harcourts is an incredible market leader, and my vision is to continue to grow our network, allowing our offices to help South Australia achieve their real estate goals,” she commented.

Stepping into this position, she said she would take a bespoke approach to working with existing and new members to give them the support they require.

“I believe in a personalised approach that tailors solutions to each business’s unique needs,” Edwards commented.

Adrian Knowles, Harcourts Australia CEO, said the network was “delighted to welcome Heather back into blue. Having this exceptional real estate professional in our South Australian network ensures the continuing success of Harcourts SA”.

Edwards will join another new player on the South Australian team, with her appointment coming on the heels of the announcement that sales agent Trent Godfrey had joined Harcourts South Australia as the network’s new performance coach and corporate auctioneer.

Godfrey began his career with Harcourts in New Zealand before relocating to Adelaide in late 2013 where he operated with another network. Similarly to Edwards, this represented a “coming home” for the agent who said he was excited to once again link up with the brand.
