An acquisition of Raine & Horne Commercial SA ushers in strategic growth, expanded services, and continuity for the commercial property agency in Adelaide.
Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia has changed hands, with business brokers Simon and Melanie Winter announcing their acquisition of the well-established commercial real estate office that was previously owned by David Ente.
Ente will stay on with the firm in a sales and advisory role to ensure a smooth transition to the new ownership. Having presided over more than 160 transactions valued at more than $200 million, Ente has established a solid foundation for the business which, according to Melanie Winter, the new owners have no intention of radically changing.
“We will build on the foundation that David has established with Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia. It’s a testament to David that he has created such a fantastic business and team,” she said.
Melanie Winter, who will lead the group as principal, highlighted that all existing staff will remain in their roles with no plans to disrupt the current operations.
After a career in residential real estate, property management and commercial sales, she moved into business broking in 2016 and has reportedly transacted over 100 successful small business sales in the Adelaide area alongside her dedicated team.
She described the Adelaide acquisition as a prime opportunity to expand services in the city’s market.
“This acquisition includes a significant rent roll, featuring five property managers and approximately 570 commercial properties, which is a considerable asset for us. This stability in cash flow is invaluable,” she added.
Chris Nicholl, head of the commercial network at Raine & Horne Commercial, expressed delight with the decision of the acquisition.
“David has built an impressive legacy at Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia, and Melanie and Simon’s strategic decision to acquire the business ensures that this successful office remains a valued part of the Raine & Horne Commercial family.”
Nicholl noted that the expertise of the new business owners will support the network’s strategic plans in South Australia.
