Two of the new agents have rejoined the team after a four-year hiatus.

Travis Gill, principal of RE/MAX Advantage, has welcomed three new agents to his team located on Bay Terrace in Brisbane’s coastal suburb of Wynnum.

The additions include returning agents Julie Harris and Sean Dawson, along with Kim Gordon, who has transitioned from RE/MAX Realty Group in Warkworth, New Zealand.

Both Harris and Dawson left the RE/MAX network four years ago to establish an independent operation, but returned to another franchise network for 18 months. The pair stated that they decided to rejoin RE/MAX as they appreciated the level of support the network offers.

Gill expressed enthusiasm about the team expansion, noting that both Harris and Dawson bring valuable experience from their previous ventures.

“We’re very fortunate that Julie and Sean, who have worked with both franchise and independent models, saw the benefit of working with RE/MAX Advantage, and they hit the ground running with a strong client base right across Brisbane,” said Gill.

In Gill’s view, RE/MAX’s level of involvement and support allows him to run his agency as something of a boutique operation albeit under a franchise banner.

“This means having tailored processes and systems, and not a cookie-cutter approach to how our sales associates operate their businesses. Sales associates, like Julie and Sean, act independently with full support,” he explained.

Harris and Dawson reported a successful start with their new team at RE/MAX Advantage, securing nine listings within just two months of joining.

“Having a great leader helps, and we thank Travis for believing in us,” they stated, referring to the environment of the company as a big reason for their success so far.

Gill emphasised his preference for integrating seasoned agents into his team, highlighting their ability to thrive in a supportive and collaborative environment.

“We prioritise inviting the best onto the team,” he said. “These will be people who seek synergy, high energy and collaboration; they are team players and agents who are in the industry for the right reasons,” Gill stated.

The addition of Gordon, who has a decade of experience in real estate and three years with RE/MAX New Zealand, further strengthens the team.

Gordon relocated to Brisbane seeking a more vibrant property market after years in the Mangawhai region of New Zealand.

“I chose RE/MAX Advantage because I appreciated that Travis was a selling principal, specialising in the prestige market, and I’m excited to join him and grow our market share,” she shared.

Gordon brings familiarity with the strengths of the brand and its culture, extending from the global network, through to New Zealand and Australian networks and the corporate teams that support the broker-owners and their teams.

Alongside her familiarity, Gill highlighted that Gordon also provides “fresh energy, style and sophistication” to RE/MAX Advantage.

“She has been very prominent in the premium lifestyle market and is now swapping acreage lifestyle for waterfront.”

RE/MAX Advantage is focused on the east of the rail area, which encompasses the suburbs of Wynnum, Manly, and Lota, known for their waterfront properties. Gill identified the primary sales range as being between $900,000 and $1.4 million while noting significant growth in the townhouse market at the entry-level price point of around $600,000 in the last five years.

As the popularity of the area continues to rise, Gill has shared that he is optimistic about future growth, intending to branch out into project development and off-the-plan sales to meet evolving market demands.
