Strengthening its footprint, LJ Hooker Property South West WA is enhancing its presence by opening two new offices.

LJ Hooker Property South West WA has announced its plan to open two new offices located in the Margaret River region of Western Australia, with Brent Spooner, the principal and licensee expanding business operations in Busselton and rebranding a local agency in Dunsborough.

With these additions, LJ Hooker South West WA will now operate four offices, including existing locations in Bunbury and Collie.

Spooner purchased and re-established LJ Hooker Bunbury in 2017, which quickly gained momentum and outgrew its initial location within just one year, leading to a second office.

Spooner has responded to continued growth by further enhancing the company’s presence in the Margaret River region.

“When I first opened with LJ Hooker, I thought that we would just be a little boutique office on the corner, but it quickly became apparent there were a lot of opportunities,” he commented.

The deal to bring two new offices into his operations “marks a significant step forward for our business, and we are not slowing down”, Spooner said.

Though he hopes to continue to significantly increase his business, Spooner noted that the strategy relies on “organic growth”.

“Our strategy includes scaling our rent roll, which we consider an important asset to the business and market. We are seeing more people relocating to the south-west, and rental properties remain tight, so we want to capture investors and maximise our efficiencies,” he explained.

In addition to expanding the business’s property management capabilities, this deal also allows LJ Hooker Property South West WA to move into commercial sales and leases.

LJ Hooker’s head of network Australia, Chris Keating, praised Spooner’s “remarkable achievements” as a business owner so far.

“Brent is part of the talented new generation of LJ Hooker principals and agents accelerating our iconic brand forward in the countdown to our centenary celebrations and beyond,” he stated.

Keating highlighted that in the seven years since joining the network, Spooner progressed from managing a single office with four staff members to overseeing four offices with a workforce of 68, with additional expansion plans.

“Brent has been named LJ Hooker Business Owner of the Year several times, and this is due to his dedication and vision to grow the brand in this dynamic and important region. He realises the importance of digital innovation, investing in his staff and caring for his clientele, which has contributed to his success,” Keating said.

Spooner noted that his existing team is “excited by this merger and the growth it will bring to the business”.

“The new team are looking forward to joining the LJ Hooker network and can see the benefits we will bring as a young company with the digital side of the business and fresh marketing ideas,” he added.
