The McGrath St George South West Group has acquired three offices in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire.
Led by principals Matthew King and Kieran Bresnahan, the expansion integrates McGrath Cronulla, Sylvania and Engadine agencies under a single umbrella, extending their regional presence to nine offices.
With a bolstered sales team of 27 lead agents and 28 sales agent associates, the group will now cover an extensive area stretching from Kingsgrove to Cronulla, Kurnell to Engadine, and as far as Revesby.
Chris Mourd, head of the franchise network for McGrath, praised the collaboration.
“We have an outstanding team in the Shire dedicated to prestige sales and exemplary customer service,” he said.
“We have always promoted the cross-pollination of buyers and sellers between the Sutherland Shire and the St George areas,” added Mourd. “And this shift will further enhance that collaboration.”
The acquisition marks a homecoming for King and Bresnahan, who established McGrath Cronulla in 2003, launching McGrath’s presence in the Shire. Mourd stated that as Shire locals, the duo bring an understanding of the area’s market dynamics and client needs.
King emphasised his enthusiasm towards the addition of the three offices to their St George South West business.
“We see great opportunity in the Shire,” he said. “There are a lot of buyers coming from the east and the inner west as well as from our St George South West area. These buyers are attracted to the Shire for its lifestyle and waterfront accessibility, beaches and natural beauty.”
Bresnahan highlighted the marketplace benefits of combining resources of the St George South West and Sutherland Shire teams.
“We’ll operate as one giving us the ability to better serve our clients,” said Bresnahan.
The group’s offices now span Cronulla, Sylvania, Engadine, Sans Souci, Brighton-Le-Sands, South Hurstville, Beverly Hills, Oatley, and Revesby.
