McGrath Estate Agents has announced the opening of its new office in McMahons Point as part of its ongoing expansion in Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
After a six-year absence from McGrath Estate Agents, Nigel Mukhi will rejoin the new office in McMahons Point serving as co-principal alongside partners John Paranchi, Peter Chauncy, and Tracey Dixon.
Joining Mukhi at the new office will be Annika Bongiorno, another agent who recently joined McGrath after several years with Stone Real Estate.
Mukhi's proven track record includes consistent recognition in Australia’s REB Top 100 and Top 50 Agents since the rankings began.
John McGrath, chief executive of McGrath Estate Agents, commended Mukhi’s extensive experience and success, describing him as one of Australia’s top agents.
“His laser focus on the Lower North Shore of Sydney has had him build an enviable client base like none other,” McGrath stated.
Mukhi attributed his decision to return to McGrath to the strong relationships he maintained with colleagues and the agency’s supportive environment.
He also highlighted the enhanced capabilities provided by McGrath’s recent collaborations with Knight Frank and Bayleys, which he believes will expand their outreach to local and international buyers.
Designed to have a rent roll of 200 properties, McGrath McMahons Point will become the sixth office in the group led by Paranchi, Chauncy and Dixon, with other offices located in Mosman, Crows Nest, Willoughby, Hunters Hill and Lane Cove.
The McMahons Point team has planned to cover key areas along the harbour foreshore, including McMahons Point, Kirribilli, and parts of North Sydney.
Mukhi noted the area’s attractiveness, which features proximity to the city, a vibrant café culture, community engagement, and transport.
“The new Sydney Metro has added immense value to the whole precinct, making the commute to many surrounding areas much quicker,” he said.
Mukhi also projected a continued rise in property values in these regions, citing strong demand from young professionals and downsizers from the Upper North Shore.
McGrath noted an example of this continued rise in property values by highlighting that Kirribilli has seen a significant appreciation, with a reported 84.22 per cent increase in median value over the last five years. CoreLogic also reported that 94 properties were transacted in the past 12 months.
Mukhi also highlighted the diverse property options available within the Lower North Shore regions, from affordable studio apartments to multimillion-dollar waterfront homes.
