Laing+Simmons has expanded its footprint in the Sydney suburb of Concord, having completed the fitout of the Laing+Simmons The Roger Agha Group office.

Speaking on joining the network, property professional Roger Agha explained that Laing+Simmons’ professional brand aligned with his values.

The office, located on Majors Bay Road, was home to Richards First National for several decades, where Agha spent some of his early career.

“We know our market intimately, so it’s really about the support systems, including people-focused training and development, which will provide us a competitive advantage as we grow,” Agha explained.

“We have developed our customer service proposition to be more bespoke to the individual, their circumstances and their needs, and the Laing+Simmons brand aligns with this approach.

“It was important for us to be part of a boutique network with an aligned value system, and the Laing+Simmons’ support services enable the team and I to do what we do best and most enjoy, and that’s interacting with our customers.

“I’ve known the corporate team at Laing+Simmons for many years, I know many of the other franchise partners in the network, so it was a natural fit to join the brand because the trust is already there. Looking ahead, I’m excited to build my personal brand further in a supportive, non-restrictive way.”

Laing+Simmons expects that the partnership will unlock further growth, including the opportunity to attract further real estate talent.

“The fact Laing+Simmons offers an in-house recruitment service was an attractive consideration in deciding to align with the brand. It’s a service we’ll definitely look to leverage in the short term as we seek to grow our team with highly capable people,” Agha continued.

“Beyond this, we’re taking a long-term view in creating a successful and sustainable business which will ideally include the addition of complementary offices to serve a broader catchment. The Laing+Simmons model not only supports but helps to facilitate our ambitious growth plan. We look forward to serving the local community for many years to come,” he said.

Laing+Simmons’ head of people and growth, Jacqui Barnes, credited the network’s “culture of support”.

“The team at Laing+Simmons The Roger Agha Group are leaders in the local markets and the fact they have chosen to become part of our network to elevate their business speaks volumes for our culture of support. We’re preparing to announce more new offices to the network in the first quarter as our growth plan matures in 2025 and beyond,” Barnes said.
