Aurora Property appoints an experienced agent to mentor new talent and lead sales in Northern districts amid growing markets.

Aurora Property, a growing independent real estate agency, has announced the appointment of seasoned agent Heath Dockary as the new sales director for its Northern Districts branch.

The appointment aligns with Aurora’s 2025 growth strategy.

With a 26-year career that has seen over $1.3 billion in sales in the Northern Districts, Aurora Property said Dockary will bring decades of experience to the role.

In his new position, Dockary will spearhead the agency’s sales expansion in the region, focusing on developing a growth model that allows agents to establish and grow their own business units.

The seasoned agent first joined Aurora Property with his team in 2024, as the brand opened its inaugural Epping-based office.

Dockary, who worked as a marketer, negotiator and auctioneer at Di Jones Real Estate and McGrath, said Aurora’s client-focus mindset and culture were key.

“It was the people who initially drew me to Aurora Property and I’m looking forward to nurturing those relationships while bringing new like-minded agents to the team who resonate with our unique culture and growth model,” Dockary said.

In addition to mentoring new talent, Dockary will continue to lead his team and contribute to the agency’s growth.

“Everyone we deal with, from clients to service providers and trades, is guaranteed to have an experience that makes them want to work with us again and again, and our referrals are a testament to this mindset,” he said.

Despite rising interest rates and cost-of-living pressures, the Northern Districts property market has demonstrated resilience throughout 2024.

According to Aurora Property, more than 1,000 dwellings were exchanged across the region in the final quarter of 2024, maintaining pace with activity levels from the previous year.

Looking ahead, Dockary stated that he is optimistic about the market’s prospects, citing anticipated interest rate cuts as a catalyst for growth in 2025.

“There is definitely room for expansion,” said Dockary. “Part of my role will be to oversee our strategic vision for growth, with more offices likely to open in 2025.”

“As a local resident deeply invested in community growth, I’m excited about the impact we can continue to have on our market,” he said.

Aurora Property currently has three offices – Epping, Cammeray and Neutral Bay – looking after 100 Sydney suburbs and managing one of the city’s largest rent rolls.

The agency is also expanding its footprint in Queensland, with the recent addition of a Newmarket-based business (formerly Place Newmarket) to its network.
