CIM Group announced a new managing director to oversee business development and investor relations for the Asia-Pacific region.
CIM Group has expanded its Institutional Client Group by appointing Melannie Pyzik as managing director to lead business development and investor relations across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Based in Sydney, Pyzik’s role includes enhancing CIM Group’s presence in the APAC market, building relationships with institutional investors, and contributing to the region’s growth efforts in the region.
Pyzik brings nearly 25 years of experience in real estate asset investing across APAC, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and North America, with a background in private markets, including infrastructure subsectors such as energy, utilities, transportation, energy transition and digital infrastructure.
CIM Group said her experience in capital formation and business development and growing global private markets funds management platforms has given her a great understanding of the institutional investor market globally.
Pyzik began her career at Macquarie Group, where she spent nearly a decade in the Investment Banking Group, working on infrastructure funds and transactions across EMEA, North America, and APAC.
Before joining CIM Group, she worked as co-lead partner and head of the investor solutions team at Argo Infrastructure Partners, where she also sat on the firm’s investment committee.
Her career also includes senior roles at QIC’s Infrastructure Group and Credit Suisse’s Pensions Coverage Group.
Pyzik said CIM Group’s growing engagement in the APAC region was an exciting venture to pursue.
“With a large number of sophisticated investors in the region showing strong demand for alternatives and private markets strategies, CIM Group’s capabilities and track record are well-suited to this discerning market,” Pyzik said.
Managing director and global head of institutional sales, which oversees the institutional client group at CIM Group, Jason Fisher, said CIM Group has been growing in the APAC region and is committed to expanding its presence further.
“CIM Group has seen growing engagement in the APAC region, collaborating with institutional investors who find our investment platform, which includes alternative assets such as real estate, infrastructure and credit, closely aligned with their strategic focus,” Fisher said.
“With the addition of an experienced leader like Melannie to guide our efforts, we look forward to strengthening relationships and supporting the growth of local businesses.”
Alongside Pyzik’s new role, the company appointed Albert Yang to lead business development and investor relations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Based in London, Yang brings over 23 years of experience in private markets and capital formation of real asset strategies, further supporting CIM Group’s intention to expand its operations internationally.
