Leadership of Harcourts’ real estate training program has changed hands to an industry veteran with over 14 years of experience in the network.

Harcourts has announced that its current head of people and culture, Mitch Green, will now also lead the brand’s Harcourts Academy training program and Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) operations.

Green brings over 14 years’ experience in the Harcourts network, and initially began his career with the brand in 2011 in the role of human resources (HR) support.

He then progressed into the role of HR manager in 2016, before transitioning into his current role as head of people and culture in 2022.

Over the past three years, Harcourts highlighted that Green has increasingly contributed to the brand’s learning and development team and worked closely with the previous leader of the brand’s Academy and RTO Training Centre programs, Irene Green.

Although Irene Green will step down from her leadership role after over 20 years, she will assist Mitch Green in the transition process and continue contributing to Harcourts’ people and culture team by supporting projects to further enhance the brand’s Academy and RTO training programs.

Speaking on his new position, Green said that he was “excited” for the chance to be increasingly involved in Harcourts’ strategic direction and work with the brand’s performance coaches and CEOs internationally.

Harcourts described the promotion as a “natural evolution” of Green’s contributions and expertise, stating his insights would continue “shaping the development” of the brand’s workforce.

The brand’s managing director, Mike Green, echoed this sentiment and said the leadership change reflects Harcourts’ commitment to “continuous improvement” and “enhancing development opportunities” for its personnel.

“With Mitch’s vast experience and a clear vision, alongside Irene’s ongoing support, Harcourts is confident in the continued success of the Academy and RTO in creating valuable learning experiences,” Mike Green said.

This announcement is the most recent in a spate of appointments at Harcourts, with the brand’s South Australian branch recently welcoming Jo Phelps as its new state operations manager/events and Sonia Lennon as its new property management operations manager.
