First National Real Estate has appointed Mark Jansen as its new marketing and communications director.

The appointment follows First National’s ongoing revitalisation efforts under the leadership of chief executive officer, David Edwards, whose role in the network commenced in 2024.

First National said Jansen brings a marketing, communications and operations background to the team, and has leadership experience across various industries throughout his career.

Jansen’s portfolio includes managing global projects focused on band strategy, marketing platform optimisation, and community engagement.

Edwards highlighted that Jansen’s global experience will significantly add to the organisation.

“Mark’s global experience in the development and execution of brand, marketing and communication strategies make him a tremendous asset to First National Real Estate,” said Edwards.

First National noted Jansen’s commitment to building high-performing teams characterises his leadership style.

Jansen said the First National team welcomed him into the new role and he is looking forward to collaborating with his team on strategies to expand the brand’s market approach.

‘I’m blown away by the warm welcome I’ve received from the First National Real Estate family,” he said.

“There’s genuine enthusiasm among the network’s membership and a healthy appetite for exciting new initiatives,” he said.

Edwards noted that Jansen’s expertise in developing and leading high-performing teams will be pivotal in addressing the needs of First National’s members and the overall brand.

“We are excited to have Mark on board and look forward to seeing his expertise translate into tangible value for our members,” he said.
