With the Australian property market set for another bumper year, Real Estate Business’ new-look editorial team is ready to provide you with the latest news, insights and trends from the real estate sector.
Looming rate cuts, the “property election” and rising consumer confidence. Agents up and down the country are preparing for another massive year in real estate.
For good reason, too. Recent CoreLogic data indicated that 65 per cent of agents predicted that house prices would rise over the coming year, with reducing interest rates and rising incomes finally coming to the party and reducing the affordability gap.
As part of REB’s mission to provide real estate professionals and investors with the latest insights and market research, Real Estate Business is incredibly proud to unveil our new-look editorial team.
Liam Garman has joined the team as the new editor of REB. Garman is the co-host of The Smart Property Investment Show, and prior to his career in journalism, worked for world-leading campaigns and research agencies in Sydney and Auckland.
He will be supported by young guns Sebastian Holloman and Olivia Adams who have already carved out a name for themselves in real estate, writing groundbreaking news on everything from regulatory reforms to industry announcements.
Emilie Lauer will take the investment beat, having previously worked as an editor at News Corp.
Partnerships will be overseen by media strategist Stefan Farnan and director Michael Magee, who has spent years leading Australia’s largest B2B and B2C media publications.
“REB has been an invaluable resource for agents, property managers and investors. With a massive year ahead in real estate, I’m excited to announce that we are scaling our operations with more news, podcasts and events to keep you connected,” Garman said.
REB’s editorial calendar for 2025 has already caused ripples, with in-depth podcasts with industry leaders such as Leanne Pilkington and Josh Phegan. Garman noted that there’s more to come.
“We have an exciting editorial and event calendar planned for 2025. If you’re interested in collaborating with REB, please reach out to myself or Stefan!
“I want to also personally acknowledge my good friend and REB’s outgoing media strategist Laine Poirier. Laine has held the fort here for seven years and has built a reputation for professionalism and drive in the industry. I wish him all the best on his next adventure.”
REB’s event calendar commences on 20 February with the Real Estate Business Awards. Back for its 13th year, the awards program recognises those agents, networks, innovators, leaders and property managers who are leading and transforming Australia’s property industry.
