The latest additions to Ray White Commercial Industrial City South will lead to growth opportunities in South Sydney’s industrial market.

Ray White Commercial Industrial City South, under principal William Gathercole, has expanded its team with the addition of Marcus Schraag as partner and Costa Fragias as sales and leasing executive.

Schraag brings 10 years of experience in the South Sydney industrial sector, starting his career in a junior role and working his way up to a director position, which he held for the past three years at another Sydney-based commercial firm.

Ray White Commercial said Schraag’s reputation as a trusted expert in the Sydney commercial market is an asset he built working with a diverse client base that includes private landlords, small business owners, and major global institutions.

Schraag said the transition to Ray White Commercial aligned with his career goal.

“The timing was right for me personally. It was time to build my business up, and the Ray White platform offers the best technology and training to do that,” he said.

“The opportunity to work with William, one of the best in the industry, was too good to pass up,” Schraag added.

Schraag also noted that this timing coincided with a sudden surge in interest in industrial property in South Sydney, which is one of the “hottest” industrial markets in Australia.

“With its proximity to the port, airport and CBD, it attracts some of the biggest developers and a wide range of businesses. The diversity of the market is what makes it so exciting to work in,” Schraag said.

Fragias has also joined the team, bringing a background in sales, entrepreneurship, and a strong family connection to real estate.

He previously worked in residential sales before transitioning to the industrial sector, under Schraag’s mentorship, and was said to have honed his expertise in the industrial strata market.

While Fragias enjoyed working on residential real estate, he said he preferred the industrial side of the business.

“It’s less emotional and more about understanding the needs of business owners and sharpening my knowledge of the market,” Fragias remarked.

Fragias said that joining Ray White Commercial over the last few months has given him “invaluable” resources.

“Being in the same office as RW Capital and the Valuations team gives us an incredible referral network. Plus, the opportunity to work under Will and Marcus is a huge step forward for me,” Fragias said.

Gathercole said that the addition of Schraag and Fragias has the agency well-positioned for future success.

“Bringing Marcus on as a partner and having Costa join our team is a game changer. We have the right people in place to continue growing and providing the best service in the market,” Gathercole said.

Gathercole shared that he is “excited about what the year ahead holds”, and plans to launch a new property management division.

Nevertheless, the director said that “for now, we’re keeping the team nimble and focused, ensuring we cover the market comprehensively while continuing to grow strategically”.

Head of commercial at Ray White Commercial, James Linacre, said the recent addition to Ray White Industrial City South will drive growth over the year.

“With a powerhouse team now in place, RWC Industrial City South is set for a dynamic year ahead, continuing to deliver top-tier service and expertise to South Sydney’s thriving industrial market,” Linacre said.
