REA Group has invested in Agtuary, a platform specialising in rural property and environmental data.
REA Group said investing in the platform follows a strategic move to enhance data-driven decision-making in the rural real estate sector.
Agtuary utilises advanced geospatial analytics and artificial intelligence to consolidate dispersed property information into a centralised, standardised solution.
Its tools include land due diligence and environmental analysis reports, comparative market analysis, a mobile inspection app, mapping and portfolio management features, and emissions accounting tools.
The platform also provides insights into properties beyond urban zones, supporting property and finance professionals in decision-making.
REA Group’s general manager of PropTrack, Kris Matthews, said integrating rural property data with environmental and climate information will add value to the market.
“Agtuary is an exciting business that is already widely used by the valuation, finance and banking industries, and we see many opportunities for future innovation and growth,” Matthews said.
He noted that the collaboration could enable new insights, such as rainfall charts and land use data, to be featured on realcommercial.com.au and realestate.com.au listings.
Additionally, Matthews said Agtuary’s specialised Know Your Environment report could provide crucial sector-specific information for real estate professionals selling rural properties.
Agtuary’s co-founder and CEO, Angus Muffatti, welcomed the partnership, emphasising the synergy between the two companies.
“There are clear similarities between our businesses, so REA is a natural partner for us,” Muffatti said.
“This capability is desperately needed in the rural sector and REA’s investment will help ensure rural property professionals have the most accurate and comprehensive set of tools and data available to them.
“We’re thrilled to be working together as we accelerate Agtuary’s next phase of growth.”
