Pulse Property Agents has launched the Centre of Excellence, a structured training program designed to develop the next generation of real estate agents.

Pulse Property’s head of growth and performance, Larissa Reed, said the program provides a step-by-step development pathway that combines practical experience, mentorship and formal training.

The initiative began earlier this year with six participants from the Sutherland Shire, all of whom have obtained their assistant certificates.

Over the next six to 12 months, participants will work towards transitioning into sale associate roles.

Pulse Property said the participants start their training with foundational skills, such as prospecting strategies, client relationship management, and database management.

As they progress, they engage in more advanced modules, including campaign and team management, negotiation techniques, and property transaction facilitation.

Reed said each participant is assigned a mentor who provides guidance, industry insight, and hands-on coaching within the program.

“Our mentors have proven industry expertise, success and strong communication and coaching skills and are excited about the opportunity of developing new talent into the industry,” she said.

She noted the program focuses on essential industry skills, such as client relationship management, time management, productivity, and practical experience.

During the training, participants shadow experienced agents, receive training in active listening and communication techniques, and undergo regular feedback on customer interactions.

Reed said the program is data-driven, with regular assessments and feedback provided to the participants.

“Weekly KPIs and data output are tracked how many calls, how many in-person and digital appraisals showing participants’ productivity,” she explained.

“Mentors provide real-time feedback on Saturdays on industry knowledge, presentation, interactions, relationship building, and dialogue.”

She said trainees navigate Pulse Property’s internal systems, assist with open homes, and participate in internal sales training and external sessions led by industry professionals.

“Recently, one of our Centre of Excellence team members has been employed full-time as a sales associate by one of our up-and-coming agents Bianca Orlando,” she said.

Pulse Property Agents director, Ben Pike, said the program is a way to help equip future agents.

“Our Centre of Excellence equips aspiring agents with the skills, confidence and experience needed to thrive in the industry,” he said.

Operating in Sutherland and Miranda, Pulse Property Agents recently opened their Cronulla office in February, with the team at Cronulla-based Luxe Real Estate merging with its office.

Pulse Property Agents also won the Sales of the Year-Metropolitan award at the REB Awards in February.
