Former chief executive officer of Harcourts Queensland, Greg Allan, has taken on a new leadership role to continue his real estate journey on a local level.
After serving as the CEO of Harcourts Queensland for over a year, Allan steps down to join Harcourts Solutions Group as the network’s new director and business owner.
Following Allan, Brendan Whipps, Etienne Labuschagne, Jodie Stainton, and Bridget MacGregor will join the leadership bench.
“Brendan, Etienne, Jodie, and Bridget are some of the industry’s finest leaders and exactly the kind of people I want to be in the trenches with,” he said.
In his new position, Allan will lead key growth initiatives, focusing on the group’s associate program, auction training, and EBU specialist training.
In addition to his previous CEO role, Allan brings 22 years of industry experience, having played a pivotal role in coaching high-performing teams and refining auction strategies.
His appointment follows a period of significant expansion for Harcourts Solutions Group, which included the addition of new marketing, administrative, and data management resources.
Whipps, Harcourts Solutions Group’s managing director, said that Allan’s appointment aligns well with the company’s 2025 Connection, Easier & Growth theme.
“He fits our culture, and I know he will have a great impact on our people,” Whipps said.
“With Greg’s leadership, we’ll replicate the Hub & Spoke model in strategic markets, adding in another hub this year.”
Labuschagne, leadership team director at the network, said Allan’s real estate and auction experience will be a valuable addition to training for the next generation of real estate professionals.
“Greg's advancement of our Associate Program will help our sales team to grow and will make their lives easier, focusing on quality data and prospecting,” he said.
Allan said switching from the state branch to a more local one at Harcourts Solutions Group was easy.
"They’re building something very special, and I knew I had to be part of it,” he said.
Stainton, group and property management director at Harcourts Solutions Group, said Allan will help drive the network growth.
"Based on our growth plans of expanding to 3,000 rental properties this year, it’s important that we have the right ratio of salespeople to rent roll to protect the growth and further enhance our client support,” she said.
Allan’s position as CEO of Harcourts Queensland will be taken over by Andrew Friebe who recently served as director of partnerships at REIP Nexus, and managing director of a major franchise across South Australia and Western Australia.
