McGrath Estate Agents has continued its Victorian expansion by opening a new office in Craigieburn, Melbourne, capitalising on the region’s thriving market.
The office will be led by principals Terry Singh and Gary Verma, who have rebranded their existing Raine and Horne agency to McGrath Estate Agents.
The principal duo will lead a team of 13, focusing on property sales and management in Melbourne’s outer suburbs.
Verma expressed enthusiasm about joining McGrath, noting that he and Singh were drawn to the company’s visions and values.
“We believe their strong brand, innovative approach and customer-centric focus will help us elevate our service and achieve greater success in our local market,” Verma said.
McGrath’s head of franchise network, Chris Mourd, said the duo’s combined 16 years of experience in the local Melbourne real estate market will be an asset for the network.
“We are very fortunate to have partnered with Terry and Gary, who are both respected in the area, with strong community ties and an enviable knowledge of the local market,” Mourd said.
McGrath Craigieburn will service a broad area that expands over Victoria, including Mickleham in the north, Westmeadows in the south, Craigieburn in the east, and Sunnybrook in the west.
Key suburbs covered by the office include Craigieburn, Greenvale, Roxburgh Park, Mickleham, and Kalkallo.
Mourd noted the strategic importance of Craigieburn’s property market in McGrath’s growth plan.
“We are strategically looking at property markets that have excellent growth potential, and we believe Craigieburn is ideally positioned due to its affordability, infrastructure development, proximity to major employment hubs and strong population growth,” he said.
Mourd said Craigieburn has become increasingly attractive to home owners and investors, with its location just 25 kilometres north of Melbourne’s CBD.
“As Melbourne’s urban sprawl continues, areas in and around Craigieburn are seeing increased demand as more people move to the outer suburbs seeking a family-friendly lifestyle while enjoying its parks, retail and excellent schools,” he said.
“The opportunity to buy in housing estates and developments in the surrounding areas makes it an attractive choice for investors and residents seeking affordable housing.”
Singh said Craigieburn and Mickleham’s thriving property markets result from their strong demand, affordability, and ongoing infrastructure development.
“There is a diversity of products available for upgraders and first home buyers from standalone houses priced on average of $650,000; townhouses are around $400,000,” he said.
“As the area grows, we see excellent opportunities for buyers, whether they be owner-occupiers or investors.”
The region also benefits from its connectivity to Melbourne’s CBD and Tullamarine Airport, along with significant infrastructure improvements.
The recent $300 million upgrade to Craigieburn Road, the largest road transport project in Melbourne’s outer north, is expected to enhance accessibility and safety for residents.
